2006 NALS Regional Service Medal Recipient
The Mid America Regional Lily Society (MARLS) awarded the North American Lily Society Regional Service Medal for 2006 to Linda Smith.
The presentation was made at the NALS Show and Meeting in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in July. Linda is a charter member of MARLS and has served in many capacities in our regional, including president, newsletter editor, show chairman, judge chairman, etc. She is always very enthusiastic and cheerful about promoting lilies; she
is a consistent participant and winner at our annual shows and a very experienced lily grower, willing to share her knowledge and expertise with us all.
Currently she is serving as President of the North American Lily Society, so we are all well represented. Linda joins the ranks of Fred Winterowd, Hal Schrei, and Ralph and Sharon Bishop, as recipients of this prestigious award, just initiated by NALS in 2003.
